8th UNISECO project meeting

We were having our final virtual project meeting on 26 March 2021.

The objective of the 1-day virtual meeting was to provide an overview and agree on the final steps of finalizing the project by the end of April. We discussed revisions to the framework and typology, the SESSIT tool, handbook and policy and issue briefs, on dissemination and exploitation activities and to share the processes and timetable for the final reporting in May and June.

The Hungarian team of UNISECO in cooperation with the National Chamber of Agriculture held its online "Conference on the future of soil conservation farming in Hungary" on 2 March 2021.

250 practitioners and experts including farmers, advisors, officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and authorities, representatives of NGOs and civic organisations, and of research and innovation have registered to the event. Many thanks to all presenters and attendees for their active contributions!

Project final stage: synthesising project findings

The UNISECO project is now in its final stages. Through to completion in April 2021 we are finalising the project synthesis and summarising the main changes in governance and implications for sustainability of the strategies for agro-ecological transitions as a means to strengthen the sustainability of European farming systems. Those strategies were co-constructed in case studies in the 15 European countries of project partners.
