4th UNISECO project meeting with stakeholder workshop, 12-15 November 2019

The 4th project meeting and workshop with members of the UNISECO Multi-Actor Platforms and Project Advisory Group was hosted by FiBL between 12 and 15 November 2019 and took place at the Bildungszentrum 21 in Basel, Switzerland.

The stakeholder workshop focussed on sharing case study results and developing scenarios for sustainable food systems to facilitate the knowledge sharing and awareness raising of issues surrounding agro-ecological transitions with the members of the local and EU-level Multi-Actor Platforms and the Project Advisory Group.  

Intensive discussions on the 1st day of the project meeting in preparation for the stakeholder meeting:

Stakeholder workshop fieldtrip: Biohof Schmied is a model of local food production: organic sprouts, blueberries and extensive beef. We enjoyed lebkuchen and tea in the barn while the farmer presented how they operate, then we visited the sprouts production facilities, blueberry field and livestock barn.

On the last two half days of the project meeting the consortium evaluated the stakeholder workshop outcomes and discussed upcoming activities. We had an intensive 3.5 days of discussions, co-creation and stakeholder interactions.
