In some EU member states market incentives are being created for transitioning to AEFS. With cost being one of the key factors holding back farmers and landowners from transitioning to agro-ecological farming, market incentives will help with the transitions, as they do with organic.

When transitioning to agro-ecological farming systems, it’s important to understand that not all farmers and landowners are able to make the transition immediately and it may take additional time and effort for them to make the change. You can assist them with peer-to-peer assistance or encourage them to participate in training or learning sessions.
